Struttlys exists because of Lucy — the dog who was there for every chapter, and the reason we believe families deserve wellness products they can actually trust.
I.
Christmas morning
Lucy joined our family on Christmas morning when our founder was six years old. From that day forward, she was part of nearly every chapter — school years, summers, growing up. Some dogs live at your house; Lucy lived in the story.
II.
Watching her world change
As Lucy grew older, her world began to shift. She gradually lost vision, and complications from a cataract meant one of her eyes had to be removed. A few years later, the sight in her remaining eye began fading too. Around the same time, her hearing dimmed and her body slowed. Things that were once effortless — moving around the house, staying active, taking in the world — became harder.
III.
What she taught us
Watching Lucy age showed us how much a dog’s mobility, senses, and overall wellness shape their quality of life — and how confusing the pet-wellness aisle is for a family that just wants to help a dog they love. Labels that hide their numbers. Promises no supplement could keep. We remember standing in that aisle, wanting to do right by her, and not knowing who to believe.
